As we approach Christmas, we want to say a sincere thank you to everyone who has supported Peninsula Private Medical since we opened.
Launching a new Private GP service has been a big step. We have been encouraged by how many people have welcomed having the option to see a Private GP locally, at a time that works for them, with wrap-around support available when needed.
Your trust and feedback this year have helped shape how we work.
Thank you.
A normal GP practice. For everyday health concerns too
Peninsula Private Medical is a Private GP practice. That means you can book an appointment for the same kinds of things you might normally speak to your NHS GP about. It does not have to be for a specific type of service or a specialist issue.
People commonly use us for:
New symptoms and concerns
Ongoing problems that need time and review
Skin concerns
Women’s and men’s health
Mental health and wellbeing
Medication advice and private prescriptions where appropriate
Blood tests and follow-up
Health checks and prevention-focused reviews
Our aim is simple. To provide a clear local option, with safe, professional care, and a supportive, joined-up approach.

Christmas and New Year opening
Please note that the practice will be closed from 5pm on Wednesday 24 December, reopening on Friday 2 January.
Online booking remains available throughout.
Messages received during this time will be responded to as soon as possible once we reopen.
If you are concerned about urgent symptoms while we are closed, please use NHS 111, or 999 in an emergency.

January offer. Supporting a healthier start to the year
January is a natural time to take stock. Many people want reassurance, a baseline, or a clear plan for improving health going into the year ahead.
For January appointments, we will be applying a price reduction automatically at payment:
Health Check (MOT): £260 (usually £325)
15-minute GP appointment: £60 (usually £70)
30-minute GP appointment: £115 (usually £130)
No code and no action needed. The discount will be applied automatically when you pay for your January appointment.
What is a Health Check / MOT?
Our Health Check is designed to give you a structured review of your general health and a clear plan for next steps.
Typically, it includes:
A GP consultation to review your health history, current concerns, and goals
Key measurements as appropriate (for example blood pressure, weight/BMI)
A core set of blood tests focused on cardiovascular and metabolic health
A GP review of results and a practical summary of recommended next steps
If you would like a more tailored review, your GP can discuss options such as additional blood tests. Any additional tests would be agreed with you in advance.
How it works
Book online at any time via our website
Attend your appointment at No. 1 Waterloo Court
Pay as normal. The January discount will apply automatically
Thank you again
Thank you for being part of our first year. We look forward to supporting you in 2026, and to continuing to build a service that gives people choice, access, and joined-up support.
