We are a new private service set up to deliver affordable removal of skin lesions by experienced Doctors. All of our skin surgeons specialise in lesion recognition and in their surgical removal. We specialise in mole checks and the removal of benign unsightly lumps.
Our Doctors will provide you with the expertise and timely service you would expect of a Private Medical Service, all at an affordable price.

We know that you are all busy people. As such we offer services to suit your needs.
Photo Assessment Service
Unique to Avocet, we also offer teledermatology service for those who would prefer it. Rather than a face to face consultation – why not send us a photograph of the skin lump or bump that is concerning you? We would aim to get back to within the 48hours as to whether or not this was something that we could offer you treatment, details of how we might remove it, and a quote for the surgical removal. This would, of course, be dependent of the quality of the photograph submitted. If we could not make an accurate assessment of this from the photograph, your options would be either to submit further photographs, or we might recommend that you book a face to face appointment with one of our doctors so we might take a closer look at you.
In Person Assessment
You might choose to book a face to face appointment with one of our Doctors so that we might take a look at your skin.
During this consultation we could examine any lump or bump that is concerning you visually and with our dermatology microscope (a dermatoscope) so to offer you a specialist diagnosis, and to discuss possible treatment options. Should you decide to go ahead with any surgical options that we might offer, it is possible that you might be offered a surgical appointment that same day, however, it more likely you would be offered an surgical appointment at a later date.
Mole Check Service
At Avocet we are pleased to offer a mole checking service. Our clinicians are skilled in recognising skin cancers having extensive experience working in the NHS skin cancer clinics. You might like to book an appointment with us to check particular moles that are a concern to you. You might like the reassurance of having a one-off mole check or indeed a regular mole checks.We could also advise how we might remove any unsightly moles, and provide a quote for this service.
